NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's tennis completed day one of the CSUN Fall Invitational Friday afternoon.
Camila Garcia and Indya Nespor advanced to the second round of the doubles group B after defeating County and Dekkers from Utah State 6-1. Garcia and Nespor dropped their second round matchup 6-3 to a doubles group from Youngstown State. The duo is back on the court Saturday at 9:00 a.m. PT.
Nespor won her first round matchup on the individual side against Megan Tagaloa by a score of 7-5, 6-3. Nespor faces Emily Fowler of UCI Saturday at 10:00 a.m. PT.
Mariia Nikitash had a strong performance in the first round but came up short to Rimona Rouf (6-2, 5-7, 7-6 (4)). Nikitash is back on the court Saturday morning beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Garcia dropped her first round individual matchup to Satoho Toriumi of New Mexico 6-2, 7-6(3). Garcia faces Elisa Rigazio at 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Juliette Daries lost in round one 6-3, 6-4. Daries is back on the court at 10:00 a.m. Saturday.
