FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team defeated the CSUN Matadors 5-2 at home on Friday afternoon at the Titan Courts.

The Titans improved to 12-3 overall for the season and 5-0 in conference play.

For the second straight match, the Titans won the doubles point to take an early 1-0 lead in the match.  The No. 1 pairing of Emilie Lugon-Moulin and Chloe Schwarz won 6-2 and the No. 2 pairing of Martina Markov and Seha Yu won 6-2.

In singles play, the Titans won three matches in a row in straight sets to secure the victory over the Matadors.  Martina Markov won in No. 1 singles 6-4, 6-1 over Angela Ho.  Emilie Lugon-Moulin defeated Nicole West 6-2, 6-3 on Court 2.  Seha Yu defeated Tallia Harper 7-5, 6-0 on Court 4 to clinch the match for the Titans.  As they had to play out the rest of the match, the Matadors got two wins on Court 5 and Court 6 before Amelia Zylberman won the final point for the Titans on Court 3 in a 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-3) battle.

The Titans will play their final non-conference match on Tuesday next week at home against Dartmouth at 1:00 p.m.
