FULLERTON, Calif. – Beginning Friday, Cal State Fullerton will compete at the CSUN Matador Invitational.
Doubles play will kick off Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. PT. Titan duo Jadie Acidera and Luxizi Meng will take on Pierson/ Cheung-Damonte. Also competing in doubles is Tiani Jadulang and Taylor Valenzuela against Big West tandem Pham/Penner of UC Riverside.
Sarah Nuno and Karla Portalatin will finish off Friday's double play with a match against Oral Roberts University tandem of Antonijevic/Kadeljevic. Nuno and Portalatin have gone 6-1 overall in doubles play and currently hold a three-match win streak.
Luxizi Meng starts singles play on Friday at noon when she faces off against Imaan Hassim of Youngstown State University. Meng is 4-3 overall in singles play.
Freshmen Taylor Valenzuela competes in a series of singles match on Friday. Beginning at 1:30 p.m Valenzuela will face off against Cal State Los Angeles's Snezana Ivanovich. Saturday at 11:30 a.m. she squares off against Taylor Cheung-Damonte of Westmount. Valenzuela then comes back to play Saturday at 2:00 p.m. vs. Emily Valenciano from UC Irvine. She finishes singles play Sunday at 11:30 a.m. against ORU's Mariia Kyzmynskia.
Caisey Lee Emery is set to compete in singles play Friday at noon vs Danielle Garrido of UC Irvine. Jadie Acidera also faces off in a noon singles match against Jackie Resler of APU.
Freshmen standout Genevieve Zeidan plays against UC Irvine's Stephanie Hazell. Zeidan is 6-1 overall in singles play.
Sarah Nuno concludes the noon matchups on Friday against Diana Baumgartnere of Azusa Pacific. Nuno is 4-2 in singles play for the fall season.
Tiani Jadulang wraps up Friday's singles play at 1:30 p.m. as she looks for a win against Cal State Los Angeles's Chelsey Ruiz. Jadulang is 0-2 overall in singles.
