Emilia Borkowski defeated regionally ranked Britta Mosser at No. 2 singles to spark Cal State Fullerton to a 5-2 non-conference women's tennis victory Wednesday afternoon over UC San Diego.
The Titans are now 2-0 while the Div. II Tritons fall to 0-2.
Borkowski won by a score of 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 over Mosser, who is the ITA's No. 17 player in the Southwest Region. Borkowski also won her No. 3 doubles match, teaming with Kalika Slevcove as the Titans swept for the doubles point.
Fullerton travels south this weekend to complete the "all-San Diego" week, visiting San Diego State on Saturday at 4 p.m. and University of San Diego Sunday at 10 a.m.
