Reno, Nev. - Cal State Fullerton (4-3) got 23 kills from Kayla Neto and 16 more from Bre Moreland as it took care of host Nevada (1-6), 3-1, in the opening match of the 2012 Wolfpack Invitational Thursday night.

Fullerton hit .261 as a team and received help in the average column from senior Neto (.327) and freshman Lauren Kissell (.467), who added eight kills in 15 swings.

Julie Consani posted a career-best 46 assists on Thursday night, guiding the Titans to their second consecutive victory. She also posted 13 digs and a team-leading three block assists in the 25-20, 25-17, 18-25, 25-12 victory. 

The Titans were out-blocked at the net by the Wolfpack 11.5-4.5, but held them to just a .130 attack percentage. Fullerton's defense held Nevada to percentages under .100 in three of the four sets. 

Janelle Batista (10 kills, 2 blocks) and Tessa Lea'ea (9 kills, 8 blocks) led the way for the home squad.

Gabrielle Dewberry (14), Moreland (12) and Consani (13) all finished in double-digits in digs for Fullerton. Kelly Chang did most of the scooping for Nevada with 14 digs.

Down two sets to none, a string of 10 points in 11 exchanges for the Wolfpack extended its life another set briefly, but Fullerton ended that quickly in the fourth. The Titans jumped out to a 5-1 lead and never looked back. The Titans held their opponent to the lowest score in any one set, and put up 8-1 and 5-1 stings of their own to close it out.

Fullerton will take on Washington State Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. and then follow that up with a tilt with Bakersfield at 1:30.
