Appeared and started in all 31 games as a true freshman...Scored 302 points for the season and was the team's third top scorer averaging 9.7 points per game...Played 889 total minutes...Shot 39.5 from the floor (102-for-258) and 29.9% from beyond the arc (29-for-97)...Led the team and conference with a 88.5 free throw percentage (69-for-78 however did not qualify for the league lead because she did not have 100 attempts), Â hauled in 76 rebounds...Recorded 87 assists and was fifth in the conference at 2.8 assists per game...Scored a career high 23 points against UC San Diego (2/17/24)...Was named to the Big West All-Freshman Team
HIGHSCHOOL
She graduated from Tahoma High School in Maple Valley, Wash. in the Spring of 2023. Â She played four years at the varsity level for the Bears. Â She was MVP of the NPSL Conference her sophomore through senior year. She was a 1st Team All-NPSL her freshman year and 1st state all state 4A her junior year. Â She was named the Team Captain from her sophomore season. She led her team to the conference championship her senior year and to a third place finish in the state tournament. She was named the News Tribune All-Area Girls Basketball Player of the Year in 2023.
PERSONAL
Full name is Carly Hope Hassmann. Â She was born in Maple Valley, Washington to Scott and Jennifer Hassman. She has one brother, Joey. She is majoring in business entrepreneurship. She is interested in the business field because she has watched her dad run his own business for years. Â She would like to become a successful business owner herself one day. She was also recruited by Cal Poly, UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, the University of San Diego, and Idaho State. She chose to attend Cal State Fullerton because of the coaching staff and the team culture. Â She liked the atmosphere of the team and felt it was like a second home. In her free time she likes to lift weights and online shop. She has been out of the country six times to Nicaragua on a medical mission with a program called Corner of Love. She models her game after Sabrina Ionescu. Â Her favorites include: Pasta (Food), Steph Curry (Athlete), The Hunger Games series (Movie), Taylor Swift (Musical Artist), Her local high school gym (Place to Play), The Fred Factor (Book), Adam Sandler (Actor), Cactus (Restaurant)
