BIG WEST RELEASE
IRVINE, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's basketball team had three players earn All-Conference recognition it was announced on Tuesday by the Big West.
Senior Guard
Gabi Vidmar was earned an All-Big West Honorable Mention nod and the freshman duo of
Hope Hassmann and
Eva Levingston were both named to the All-Freshman Team.
Vidmar led the Titans in scoring this season, averaging 11.1 points per game. She had the best shooting year of her career after scoring 285 field goals and 65 three-pointers. Vidmar also led the team with 69 steals. Vidmar is 17th in the conference in scoring with her 11.1 points per game. She ranks first in the conference in 3-PT FG percentage at 37.1% and fourth in 3-PT FG per game with 2.2. Vidmar was also fourth in steals with 2.3 steals per game. Gabi Vidma moved into second place all-time in the record book in 3-pointers made with 179. She is behind the all-time Titans leader, Lauren Chow with 234. She is 3rd all-time with 202 steals. Vidmar is 9th place all-time with 3,543 career minutes played. Vidmar became the 47th player in program history reach 100 games against UC Dav is on February 8th, 2024. Vidmar earned the only player of the week honors for the Titans this season after she had a career high 29 points against CBU.
Gabi Vidmar was previously named to the All-Big Freshman team. Vidmar is the 18th player in program history to have a All-Big West honorable mention.
The freshman duo of
Hope Hassmann and
Eva Levingston were the 23rd and 24th players in program history to have been named to the All-Freshman Team. The Titans have had four straight seasons with a player named to the All-Freshman team behind Vidmar (20-21), Lily Wahinekapu (21-22),
Demonnie Lagway (22-23), and now Hassmann and Levingston.
Hope Hassmann started at point guard every game this season for the Titans. She is third on the team in scoring averaging 10.1 points per game. She led the team and conference in free throw percentage at 88.5%. She also led the team with 85 assists and is fifth in the conference with 2.8 assists per game. Hassmann has led the team in scoring in seven different games this season.
Eva Levingston has played in 28 games for the Titans this year. She scored 139 points, averaging 5.0 points per game. She was third on the team with 103 rebounds.
Fullerton opens the Big West Tournament Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. against No. 5 UC Davis in the first round at the Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev.
