Fullerton Nets Three Goals at San Diego State to Claim Third Straight Victory

SAN DIEGO – Cal State Fullerton men's soccer defeated San Diego State 3-0 on the road Saturday night to earn its third consecutive victory. With the win the Titans improve to 3-3-3 on the year. 

After playing to a 0-0 draw in the first half, the Titans turned it on in the second. Jose de la Torre got the scoring started in the 58th minute to put Fullerton ahead 1-0 and score his first goal of the season. Aidan Brothers and Cesar Aubour assisted on the goal. 

The Titans kept their foot on the gas, taking a 2-0 lead just over two minutes later on a goal by Fitz Williams. The senior got a friendly deflection to net his first goal of the season in just his third game played after coming back from an injury. 

First-year transfer Adan Alvarado capped off the scoring in the 85th minute, finding the back of the net off a set piece to give the Titans a 3-0 lead. The goal marked Alvarado's first as a Titan.

The Titans three goals scored is a season high, while also marking the most goals San Diego State has allowed this season. Fullerton's three second half goals is the most in a half since October 18, 2025 against CSU Bakersfield.

Asger Hemmer recorded two saves in net while the Titans defense allowed 13 shots and just three on goal to record the second clean sheet of the season.  

Fullerton looks to carry its momentum into Wednesday's match at UC Riverside. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
