SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton defeated UC Santa Barbara 6-1 in game three Sunday afternoon at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium to secure the series victory.Â
With the win the Titans improve to 21-21 on the year and 13-8 in Big West play to put them in a tie for third place in The Big West standings with UCSB.Â
Andrew Kirchner jumped on a breaking ball for a two-run home run to take a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning. Nick Miller lined a leadoff base hit single to set the table for Kirchner's fifth home run of the season.
In the second inning, Miller hit a two-run homer of his own which cleared the left field wall, extending Fullerton's lead to 4-0. Cade O'hara shot a base hit through the middle of the infield to create traffic on the bases for the second Titan home run of the game.Â
Â
A pair of Gaucho singles in the fourth inning allowed for Santa Barbara's first run of the game on an RBI sacrifice fly to make it a 4-1 game.Â
Cameron Kim joined the home run party with another two-run blast in the fifth inning, the big fly to right field scored Paul Contreras and extended the lead to 6-1.Â
Â
Sophomore Dylan Smith had a dominant start in the winner-take-all series finale, earning his third win of the season while pitching just under seven innings of one run ball. Smith's quality start against UCSB marks his fourth of the year.Â
Andrew Wright pitched 2.1 innings of no-hit baseball to secure the victory. Wright didn't allow a base runner while striking out three.Â

The Titans end their road trip with a midweek matchup against San Diego State Tuesday before returning home for a three-game Big West series against UC Davis beginning Friday night.
