FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton Titans women's soccer player Ashlyn Gwynn was honored on Monday at the 2026 Titan Awards night ceremony in her first return to campus from her home in Utah since the off campus traffic collusion that took place in September of 2025.

Ashlyn was given a standing ovation by all her fellow Titan student-athletes and faculty members as she went up the stage to be recognized as an honorary SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) member. She was also honored as one of the 111 student-athletes who were named to the Big West All-Academic Team.  

Head Coach Demian Brown of the women's soccer team spoke about the qualities he saw in her as both a person and an athlete during the recruiting process, and how she ultimately exceeded all expectations.

"Ash is an amazing Titan and it was an incredibly special moment for her to be honored in front of the entire CSUF athletics department," said Brown.  

Ashlyn also made an appearance at the Titans' training session on Friday. She walked out onto the field with the team on Saturday before their match against USC.



"Having Ashlyn back this weekend meant everything. She's been through so much, and seeing her surrounded by so much love and support from the team and Titan community was really special. It shows how much she means to all of us," said one of her teammates, Cayla Oliveira. 



Coach Brown said that "It was absolutely amazing to have Ashlyn back in Titan Stadium. Myself the staff and her teammates were inspired by presence. Her strength and courage is motivation for us all."
