Northridge, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton Titans finished out the regular season with a season sweep over the Cal State Northridge Matadors. The Titans came out on top with a 90-77 victory on the road, finishing the regular season with a 17-15 overall record and 12-8 in Big West play.

The Fullerton Titans played from behind once again, trailing for all but 28 seconds in the first half. CSUN got off to a 4-0 start before
Bryce Cofield drew a foul and posted a free throw shot to get the Titans on the board. Fullerton quicky caught up, cutting the Matadors lead to just one at 8-9, just after the 15-minute mark. CSUN took their largest lead of the game with seven minutes remaining in the first when they led 24-17. CSF quickly erased CSUN's lead catching up and tying the game at 28. The two teams stayed right on top of each other for the remainder of the first half, but
KJ Garris logged a three pointer with one second left to put the Titans up 39-36 at the half.

Titans freshman,
Christian Williams led the Titans with 11 points in the first half. Nine of Williams' points came off three pointers. Fullerton shot 37% and made eight shots from beyond the arc. Fullerton tallied seven turnovers while forcing the Matadors to 12 and tallying 16 points from CSUN's turnovers.

The Titans and Matadors traded leads for the first six minutes before
Bailey Nunn hit a three pointer that would put the Titans up 56-55, setting them up for a Saturday night victory. CSUN remained close, but the Titans found a way to stay on top. The Titans ended the game against CSUN on an unanswered 15-point scoring run, securing the 90-77 victory.

Williams led the team again as he tallied another 12 points in the second half. The freshman totaled 23 points, five three pointers, six rebounds, five assists and three steals on the night. Fellow freshman,
KJ Garris was right behind with 20 points, four three pointers, four rebounds, four assists and three steals.
The Titans will head home and gear up for the Big West Tournament in Henderson, Nevada beginning Wednesday, March 11 at Lee's Family Forum.
