FULLERTON, Calif. - The  short handed Cal State Fullerton Titans women's water polo team fell at home to No. 14 UC San Diego 15-7 on Sunday afternoon at the Titan Aquatics Center.

The Titans fell to 11-7 overall and 0-2 in Big West play for the season.

Sofia Moschetti led the Titans with two goals.  Delaney Latham, Mia Hatch, Kenzie Searle, Jade Lonzo, and Chandler Burrell also scored for the Titans.  Renske Boxsem made nine saves inside the cage.  The Titans shot .304 for the game but were efficient on the powerplay, shooting 6-for-8 (.750).  

The Titans defense did their best to stymie the Triton attack in the first quarter.  The Tritons led 3-0 after the first quarter.

Delaney Latham scored the first goal for the Titans on a powerplay to start the second quarter to make it a 3-1 game. 

The Tritons scored twice after before Jade Lonzo scored on a powerplay to make it a 5-2 game. The Tritons got two more goals before the halftime whistle and led 7-2 at the break.  

The Tritons put the game away in the third quarter as they scored six unanswered goals to take a commanding 13-2 lead.  

The Titans saved their best quarter for last in the fourth quarter as they outscored the Tritons 5-to-2.  Mia Hatch scored the first goal of the period before the Titans scored on four powerplays.  Sofia Moschetti scored twice, Chandler Burrell, and Kenzie Searle all scored with the man advantage. 

The Titans will head to Concordia University Irvine on Thursday before returning to conference play next Saturday at Santa Barbara.
