FULLERTON, Calif. – Junior relief pitcher Andrew Wright has been named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award Watch List, the association announced Tuesday.
During the 2025 season, Wright made 27 appearances and had a 3-2 record with 10 saves and a 2.40 ERA. After recording three saves in three appearances last year against UC Davis, Wright was named NCAA Relief Pitcher of the Week. Wright's 10 saves a year ago was the most by a Titan in a season since Brett Conine recorded 10 in 2018. The Southpaw earned First Team All-Big West in 2025.
In addition to being named to the Stopper of the Year Award Watch List, Wright was ranked as the No. 15 relief pitcher in the country by D1 Baseball.Â
The Titans open the 2026 season Friday against CBU at Goodwin Field. First pitch on opening day is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
