Titans Open Triton Invitational WIth Loss to No. 3 UCLA

LA JOLLA, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's water polo team opened up the Triton Invitational with a 22-4 loss to the No. 3 UCLA Bruins.

The Titans fell to 5-2 overall for the season.

UCLA scored seven goals in the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead over the Titans.  Emme Doube-MacLeod scored to open the second quarter before the Bruins scored five straight to take a 12-1 lead into halftime.

The Titans were outscored 4-to-1 in the third quarter as Lotte Boxsem got on the scoresheet for the Titans.

The Titans scored twice in the final frame as Sofia Moschetti and Jade Lonzo dented the twine.

The Titans will play two matches tomorrow with their first match at 8:00 a.m.
