Ava Arce Earns NFCA All-West Region Honors After Record-Breaking Season

The junior first baseman collected her seventh accolade of the season

NFCA Release

LOUISVILLE, Ky.
– Cal State Fullerton's junior first baseman Ava Arce earned her first National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-West Region award following a record-breaking season, the NFCA announced Thursday.Ā

The NFCA announced 380 student-athletes from 146 programs have received 2025 NFCA Division I All-Region accolades, which were voted on by NFCA member head coaches from each respective 10 regions. The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with first, second and third-team selections.Ā All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2025 NFCA Division I All-America squads.

Ava Arce was named to the NFCA All-West Region Second Team after being named the Big West Field Player of the Year. She was named First Team All-Conference with four Field Player of the Week honors by the conference.Ā

Arce had a career-high season, serving as the primary first baseman for the Titans after seeing sparse appearances at third base and as the designated player in 2024. This season, Arce led the Titans with a .409 batting average, 67 hits, 12 home runs and a program-best 62 RBI in a single season, while leading the conference in each of those categories plus slugging.Ā

Arce was one of three Big West representatives to be named to an All-West Region team. CSUN's Tiara Westbrook joined Arce on the Second Team, while 2025 Big West Champion Malaya Johnson of UC Santa Barbara was named to the Third Team.Ā

This marked the 11th straight season, not including the canceled 2020 season due to COVID-19, that the Titans have received at least one All-Region honor.Ā
