NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's water polo team were defeated 12-6 against CSUN at Matador Pool on Saturday afternoon.

The Titans kept it close for most of the game before the Matadors pulled away at the end.  The Titans had six unique goalscorers as Destiny Hernandez, Delaney Latham, Taylor Mason, Emme Doube-MacLeod, Lacey Hall, and Isabella Schulze all finding the back of the net.  Annabelle Sherman made seven sages inside the cage for the Titans.

Delaney Latham got the scoring started for the Titans as they took an early 1-0 lead in the first.  The Matadors however went on to score the next three to take a 3-1 lead over the Titans.

The Titans tied the match up at 3-3 early in the second quarter as Doube-MacLeod and Hernandez scored.  CSUN scored the next to restore a two goal advantage at 5-3 before Isabella Schulze scored to make it a 5-4 game.  CSUN got the final goal of the first half to take a 6-4 lead into halftime.

In the third quarter, Lacey Hall scored in her return to Matador pool to cut the lead to 6-5.  The Matadors scored the next three to take a 9-5 lead over the Titans before Taylor Mason scored to make it a 9-6 game. The Matadors would score the final goal of the third quarter to take a 10-6 lead into the final quarter.  The Titans were shutout in the final frame as the Matadors scored twice in the fourth quarter to take game 12-6 over the Titans.

The Titans will play their next two games back in Fullerton over the next two weekends.  They will host UC Santa Barbara next Saturday, April 5th at 12:00 p.m.
