IRVINE, Calif. – Nataly Lozano has been named Big West Freshman of the Week following her standout performance in softball's conference-opening sweep over UC San Diego, the conference announced Monday. 

In three games at Triton Softball Stadium, Lozano hit .600 (6-for-10) with four runs, an RBI, a double and a home run. Lozano recorded her third collegiate home run in game one of the series on Friday night. She went 3-for-3 at the plate with runners on base and 1-for-1 with runners in scoring position. 

On the season, Lozano is hitting .379 (25-for-66) with 13 runs and 19 RBI while drawing eight walks. She leads the team in walks and home runs, while ranking second-best in slugging percentage (.621) with nine extra base hits, RBI (19) and total bases (41). Lozano has a .446 on-base percentage with four stolen bases. In The Big West, Lozano ranks in the top 10 for slugging, RBI and hits (25).
