NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's basketball lost to CSUN on the road Thursday night by a final score of 82-63. The Titans fall to 6-18 on the year and 1-11 in Big West play.Â
Fullerton got off to a slow start as CSUN opened the game on a 7-0 run before Kendrick De Luna stopped the skid.Â
The Titans battled back to within two points and battled CSUN closely for a majority of the first half. However, the Matadors built a 12-point lead, 41-29, heading into halftime.Â
The start of the second half was very similar to the start of the game as CSUN rattled off seven unanswered points to extend its lead to 48-29.Â
Fullerton fought until the final whistle but were never able to cut into the large deficit following the early second half run by CSUN.Â
Donovan Oday led the Titans with 18 points on 5-of-9 shooting and 3-of-4 from behind the arc. Oday has scored double figures in seven consecutive games and 13 of the last 14.Â
The Titans are back at home Saturday evening to host UC Davis. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
