BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women's volleyball team fell in straight sets to Cal State Bakersfield (13-25, 18-25, 18-25) on Friday night at the Icardo Center. The Titans dropped to 8-19 overall and 3-12 in Big West play. 

Fina Tuinauvai, Sarah Schubert, and Hannah Hass led Fullerton with six kills apiece. Hass hit a team-best .400 on 10 attacks, while Tuinauvai hit .238 with four digs. Ketesia Hall reached 200 season kills with her five kills. Hall and Elon Smith each posted three block assists to lead the Titans at the net. As a team, the Titans recorded five total blocks and two service aces. 

Cal State Bakersfield (6-21, 3-12) outworked the Titans early on before hitting .233 in the match compared to Fullerton's .082 hitting percentage. Bakersfield used a 14-2 run for a 21-9 lead in the opening set after Tuinauvai tied it at 7-7. The Roadrunners closed the set with a 25-13 win for a 1-0 match lead. 

The Titans continued to battle from behind in the second set as the Roadrunners jumped to an 11-2 lead. A late offensive push by Schubert, Smith, and Hall's 200th kill of the season brought the Titans within range, but it was not enough to fend off Bakersfield. The Roadrunners used a 25-18 win in the second set to take a 2-0 match lead. including Hall's 200th kill of the season. 

Wiles evened the third set at 6-6 by tallying three kills early, while Smith and Tuinauvai combined at the net to take a 9-8 lead. The Roadrunners responded with a lengthy run for a 20-12 lead and closed out the sweep 25-18. 

The Titans continue their final road trip of the season Saturday at CSUN. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
