SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's soccer team suffered their second loss in a row after falling 2-0 on the road against Cal Poly on Sunday afternoon at the Spanos Stadium.
The Titans fell to 10-2-2 overall and 3-2-1 in conference play. Â
The Mustangs were in control for most of the game as both sides went into halftime with the scored tied 0-0. The Mustangs outshot the Titans 6-to-1 in the first half with
Kayalily Penn having the only shot on goal for the Titans.
Cal Poly broke the deadlock in the 51st minute behind Annika Smith to give the Mustangs a 1-0 lead.Â
As the Titans pushed for an equalizer, Annika Smith ended all hopes of a Titans comeback in the 81st minute with her second goal of the game.
Isaac Ranson made four saves for the game as the Titans were outshot 12-to-3 for the match.
The Titans will finish off a three-game road trip next Sunday at UC San Diego. Â Kick-off is set for 2:00 p.m. in La Jolla.
