DAVIS, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's basketball fell to UC Davis on the road Thursday night by a final score of 63-53. With the loss the Titans drop to 5-12 on the year and 0-5 in Big West play. 

The game was tight early before UC Davis went on a 16-3 run to end the first half and two minutes into the second half to open up a double-digit lead. 

After trailing by double-digits for a majority of the second half, Kobe Young finished in the lane between two defenders to cut the Titans deficit to eight points (46-38) with 6:40 left in the game. 

With just over one minute left in the game, Donovan Oday stole the ball on the defensive end and took it the length of the court for an easy slam dunk to make it a 55-51 deficit.

UC Davis came back to hit a huge bucket with 52 seconds left to regain the momentum and take a 57-51 lead. The Aggies then extended the lead as the Titans attempted to play the foul game down the stretch. 

Both sides struggled to score throughout the game as Fullerton shot just 28 percent (13-of-46) from the field while UC Davis shot 36 percent (19-of-53). The Titans shot just 1-of-20 from three-point range while The Aggies went 5-of-23. 

Zion Richardson led the team with 13 points on 3-of-5 shooting and 6-of-7 from the free-throw line. Oday added 12 points while grabbing eight rebounds. Young nearly recorded a double-double with nine points and a career-high 11 rebounds. 

Fullerton returns to Titan Gym Saturday afternoon to face Hawaii. The game will be televised on Spectrum SportsNet at 1:00 p.m.
