FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's basketball dropped Saturday's home contest against UC San Diego by a final score of 90-51. With the loss the Titans fall to 5-11 on the year and 0-4 in Big West play.Â
Fullerton hung in the game early before the Tritons went on an 11-0 run to extend their lead to 27-12.Â
The Titans struggled to score throughout the game and were held scoreless for the first 7:10 of the second half. Fullerton's scoring drought aided UC San Diego in its 45-11 extended run over a 17 minute stretch to blow the game open. Â
Antwan Robinson led the Titans with 12 points in just 10 minutes of action off the bench in the second half. Robinson went 2-of-4 from three-point range and a perfect 6-of-6 at the free-throw line. Robinson was the only Titan to score in double figures.Â
Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones led UC San Diego with 24 points on 8-of-10 shooting while Tyler McGhie added 23 points on 8-of-14 from the field and 4-of-9 from three-point range.Â
Following their six-game homestand, the Titans hit the road to face UC Davis Thursday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
