FULLERTON, Calif. - In their third straight game against Atlantic Coast Conference opposition, the Cal State Fullerton Titans women's soccer team fell 2-0 to the University of Pittsburgh on Sunday at home at Titan Stadium.
The Titans fell to 2-3 overall for the season and have been held scoreless in their last three games.Â
The Panthers outshot the Titans 19-to-8 with a 10-to-3 shot on goal difference as well.  Ranson was immense in goal again and forced to make seven saves while
Karla Rodriguez had a Pitt shot saved on the line.
Pitt scored in the 32nd minute to take the lead after a cross from Schupansky went to Keera Melenhorst who had an open look from near the penalty spot. Â They doubled their advantaged in the 62nd minute after a cross went from Coffield to Samiah Phiri for an open header.
Taya Townsell was the only Titan besides Ranson to play the full 90 minutes.
The Titans will now start a three game road trip beginning with their first trip to the East Coast since 2016. Â They will take on UCONN for the first time on Thursday before squaring off against Boston College on Sunday.
