HONOLULU – Cal State Fullerton baseball dropped game one at Hawaii by a final score of 10-2 Thursday night at Les Murakami Stadium. The Titans are now 16-36 on the year and 7-21 in Big West play.Â
Fullerton fell behind early after Hawaii scored one run in both the first and second inning.Â
The Titans tied the game in the top of the fourth inning on a two-run home run by Colby Wallace. The junior now has a team-high six home runs this season.Â
Hawaii came back to take the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning, scoring seven runs to pull ahead 9-2. The Rainbow Warriors added one run in the seventh inning to take a 10-2 lead.
Mikiah Negrete drew the loss to drop to 4-5 on the year after giving up four earned runs on eight hits in 5.1 innings of work. Negrete didn't issue a single walk while striking out seven batters.Â
Fullerton is back in action Friday night for game two at Hawaii. First pitch is scheduled for 9:35 p.m. PT.
