Game Recap: Women's Water Polo |

Titans Drop Home Game vs No. 12 Tritons

FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's water polo lost at home against the No. 12 UC San Diego Tritons 15-4 on Friday night at the Titan Aquatics Center.

The Titans (9-15, 0-3 BWC) trailed 6-2 at halftime before allowing nine second half goals to the Tritons.

Lacey Hall, Mikka Von Scherr, Madelyn Halva, and Vicharadani Minott found the net for the Titans.  Annabelle Sherman played the first three quarters in the cage for the Titans and made four saves.  Haden Skye Bates played the final quarter and made one save.

The Tritons jumped to an early 4-0 lead in the first quarter.  Lacey Hall scored the first goal for the Titans with 0:37 left in the first quarter to make it 4-1.



The Titans and Tritons traded goals early to start the second quarter with Mikka Von Scherr denting the twine to make it 5-2.  



The Tritons scored with :38 seconds left in the quarter to hold a 6-2 lead into halftime.

The Tritons outscored the Titans 3-1 in the third quarter with Madelyn Halva finding the net for the Titans.



Both sides emptied the bench in the final quarter where the Tritons turned what was a 9-3 game into a 15-4 game.  Vicharadani Minott scored for the Titans during period.



The Titans will play their penultimate home game and close out a three-game homestand on Sunday against CSUN.  The game will start at noon against the Matadors.
