FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team defeated UC Irvine 6-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Titan Courts in their final game of the regular season.

The Titans improved to 15-8 overall and 5-4 in Big West play.  The Titans are 6-1 over their last seven games and head to the Big West Championships on a 3-game winning streak.  

The Titans led early in the match after taking the doubles point over the Anteaters.  The No. 2 pairing of Natalie Duffy and Mariia Nikitash dispatched their opponent 6-2 and Josie Usereau/Sein Myoung won their No. 1 doubles match 6-2 as well.  

In singles, the Titans won five straight matches before dropping the final match in No. 6 singles in three sets.  Natalie Duffy was the first to win after defeating her opponent 6-0, 6-2 in No. 4 singles.  Milena Gevorgyan defeated her opponent 6-4, 6-1 in No. 5 singles.  Josie Usereau got the match point for the Titans after winning 6-3, 6-4 in No. 1 singles.  Sein Myoung and Seha Yu both pulled out three sets to give the Titans six points.  However, Mariia Nikitash was defeated in three sets to prevent the complete Titans sweep over the Anteaters.

The Titans honored their lone senior, Natalie Duffy in a pregame ceremony.
