LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team lost 5-2 against Long Beach State on Friday afternoon at the Rhodes Tennis Center.
The Titans fell to 9-7 overall and 2-3 in Big West conference play for the season.
The Titans had to play from behind after dropping the doubles point against the Beach.  No. 2
Natalie Duffy and
Mariia Nikitash won their doubles match 6-3 but the Titans lost in No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
Long Beach led 3-0 after winning in No. 3 and No. 5 singles. Â The Titans got two points back after
Mariia Nikitash won No. 6 singles 6-2, 6-4. Â
Seha Yu won No. 4 singles 6-3, 6-4.  However, the Beach sealed the match point after winning No. 1 singles and got their 5th point after winning the final match in No. 2 singles.
The Titans will head to Northern California next weekend for a three game road trip where they will take on Saint Mary's (Thursday), UC Davis (Saturday), and Pacific (Sunday).
