Long Beach State responded with three runs in the bottom of the second inning to retake a one-run lead, 4-3.Â
Fullerton responded with a two-run home run by Holley in the third inning to take a 5-4 lead. For Holley, it's his first career hit and home run. The freshman went 1-for-3 on the day with two runs and two RBI.Â
Long Beach State came right back to tie the game in the home half of the third on a sacrifice fly to make it a 5-5 game.Â
Alijah Ramos gave the Titans a 6-5 lead in the top of the fifth inning on a single up the middle that brought home Bardowell from second base.Â
Andrew Morones had a strong outing in relief, not allowing a single hit in 1.2 innings pitched while walking one batter and striking out two. Â
Long Beach came back to tie the game at 6-6 in the seventh inning before a three-run home run in the eighth gave them a 9-6 lead.Â
Jason Blood dropped to 1-2 on the year after giving up the go-ahead three run home run in the eighth inning.Â
Fullerton is back in action Tuesday as it heads south to face San Diego. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. PT.
