SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team were defeated 6-1 on the road on Friday against the No. 17 University of San Diego Toreros at the Hogan Tennis Center.

This match was finally played after the Titans (9-5) and Toreros (10-4) have rescheduled this match twice before already.  The Titans were supposed to open the season by hosting the Toreros at home and once again play after the game against the UC San Diego Tritons.  However, both matches were previously rained out.

Natalie Duffy was the only Titan to win her individual match to ensure that the Titans weren't swept for the day.  Duffy won her No. 3 singles match in three sets with a 1-6, 6-2, 6-1 win.

The Titans lost the doubles point and went into singles down 1-0.  Josie Usereau lost her No. 1 singles match 6-0, 6-2, Milena Gevorgyan lost her No. 6 singles match 6-1, 6-3, and Mariia Nikitash lost her No. 5 singles match 6-3, 6-1.  Both teams decided to play out the rest of the match.

The Titans are scheduled to host the Washington State University Cougars on Saturday at 11 AM.
