GREENVILLE, N.C. – Cal State Fullerton Baseball dropped game one of the Keith LeClair Classic to Southeastern Louisiana by a final score of 5-1 Friday morning. The Titans are now 4-4 on the year.Â
Southeastern Louisiana took the lead in the bottom of the second inning on a solo home run by Justin Williams. SLU extended its lead to 4-0 with a three-run fifth inning before adding one run in the seventh to take a 5-0 lead.Â
Christian Rodriguez got the start for the Titans, giving up four runs on six hits in 4.2 innings pitched while walking four batters and striking out three. Rodriguez drew the loss to drop to 1-2 this season.Â
The Titans only run of the game came in the top of the eighth inning on a solo home run by Moises Guzman, his first of the season.Â
Fullerton is back on the field Saturday afternoon to take on tournament host East Carolina. First pitch is slated for 12:30 p.m. PT.
