The Titans made a few highlight plays on the fastbreak after the defense forced a turnover. However, every time the Titans made a big play to energize the crowd, Long Beach State came back to hit a big bucket to regain the momentum.

Fullerton trailed 33-24 going into the locker room at halftime.

Long Beach responded with six unanswered points of its own to take a 45-32 lead before going on a 10-1 extended run to build a 49-33 lead with 11:50 left in the game.

Fullerton went scoreless from the field while being held to just one point from the free-throw line for nearly seven minutes of action (17:02 to 10:16).

Cal State Fullerton outscored Long Beach 42-34 in the paint but struggled from three-point range. The Titans shot just 1-of-13 from three while Long Beach went 6-of-18.
