FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women's volleyball program and Nicole Vargas Polster announced their welcoming of two incoming freshmen to the 2025-26 roster. 

Neeva Gaine
Outside Hitter | Larkspur, Calif. | Redwood High School

Neeva Gaine has posted a .295 hitting percentage as a varsity member of Redwood's volleyball program with 163 kills on 464 total attacks. Her 2023-24 season .307 hitting percentage ranks fourth among all North Coast Section Division II attackers. As a junior, she earned an All-Team Honorable Mention, while collecting All-Conference First Team and All-Tournament MVP honors her senior year. She has 64 career service aces and has assisted in 14 successful plays. Defensively, Gaine has posted 32 total blocks and 79 digs. 

"Neeva is a versatile attacker that can play both on the outside and right side. She is athletic, and a high flyer that plays for one of the top volleyball clubs in Northern California," Associate Head Coach Sabrina Hernandez said. "The best thing about Neeva is her work ethic, and competitive desire to be the best she can be. We are so excited to get her in the gym!"


Zariah Crosby
Middle Blocker | Walnut, Calif. | Diamond Bar High School

Zariah Crosby has played in 187 sets with 187 kills on 750 total attacks for a .379 hitting percentage. Defensively, Crosby ranks in the Southern Section's top five with 111 blocks in the 2024-25 season, for a total of 168 career blocks. 

"Zariah's athleticism is going to add tremendously to our team," Head Coach Nicole Vargas Polster said. "Her quick and easy jump will increase our offense and defense in the middle position. We are so excited to add Zariah to our team!"
