Softball Welcomes Five Standouts to 2026 Roster

Gina Oaks Garcia floods roster with two-way versatility

FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton softball program and Gina Oaks Garcia welcome five high school standouts who have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and softball careers as Titans beginning with the 2026 season. 

Hana Winton
Pitcher, First Base | Fallbrook, Calif. | Fallbrook High School


As a freshman, Hana Winton became a CIF San Diego Section Division 5 Champion, while leading the Valley North County League for the most strikeouts. With 222 total strikeouts in 111.1 innings pitched, Winton remains atop the league pitchers heading into her senior year.

Winton is a three-time All-League First Team member, two-time Most Valuable Player and a two-time Valley North County League Pitcher of the Year. As a sophomore, Winton was named the varsity Hitter of the Year, the San Diego Tribune's Player of the Week and team captain. In 2024, Winton added a varsity Offensive Player of the Year award to her accolades. 

"Hana is a dominant power pitcher with the ability to generate plenty of swing-and-miss moments," Oaks Garcia said. "Her dedication in the weight room and commitment to improvement are evident with every opportunity she seizes. We're thrilled to welcome her to the Titan family!"

Jenica Silvas
Utility | Twentynine Palms, Calif. | Twentynine Palms High School


As a junior, Silvas slashed .533/.661/1.267, while leading the Wildcats with 30 runs, 24 hits and 31 runs batted in. This summer, Silvas posted a .424 batting average with a .509 on-base percentage. Silvas made 111 putouts, six assists, and five double plays on the field, posting a .886 fielding percentage. 

"Jenica is an exceptional middle infielder that embodies the qualities that college coaches seek in a player – she is the complete package, featuring impressive power at the plate coupled with a keen eye for good pitches," Araujo said. "With remarkable hands, a strong arm, and outstanding instincts, Jenica demonstrates an innate ability to position herself effectively on the field, making her a valuable asset."

Micayla Turi
Catcher, Infielder | Laguna Niguel, Calif. | Capistrano Valley High School


Micayla Turi paced her team to the CIF Division 3 Championship title as a sophomore, earning Offensive Player of the Year and Second Team All-South Coast League honors. 

In three seasons, Turi has played in 65 games, while batting .383 with 77 hits, 46 RBI and 50 runs scored. In 2024, Turi ranked third among D1 base runners with 14 stolen bases, and 16th in fielding percentage (.982). Her performance earned herself Defensive Player of the Year honors. Last season, Turi posted a career-high .453 batting average with 34 hits, six extra base hits, 21 runs and 18 RBI. 

"Micayla is an exceptional talent ready to make an impact," Araujo said. "She is known for her arm strength and impressive running speed. Micayla is poised to make an immediate impact on our program."

Isabella Lopez
Pitcher | Ontario, Calif. | Ganesha High School


Isabella Lopez earned All-Miramonte First Team honors as a sophomore after posting a 2.07 ERA with 10 wins in 16 starts. She pitched 10 complete games, allowing just 65 hits in a total of 101.2 innings pitched. As a junior, Lopez helped pitch her team to the 2024 Championship Title. 

"Bella is an elite pitcher and a powerful offensive force who never misses an opportunity to elevate her game," Oaks Garcia said. "Her passion and energy are unmatched, and her fire will undoubtedly inspire the entire team. We can't wait to see her take the field with "Titans" proudly across her chest!" 

Isabella Lopez 2026 SB Signee

Joryn Chatman
Utility | Eastvale, Calif. | Eleanor Roosevelt High School


Joryn Chatman helped lead her team to the 2022 Division I CIF Championship title. The middle infielder/outfielder specialist followed a championship year with a Big 8 League Championship title in 2023, earning herself a Defensive Player of the Year award and spot on the Second Team All-League roster. 

Chatman also succeeds in the classroom, becoming a four-time recipient of the High Honors Academic Award (3.5-3.9 GPA). She has been a member of varsity softball for all four years, while playing varsity flag football for one season. 

"Joryn is a multifaceted athlete, exhibiting outstanding skills in running, throwing and hitting," Araujo said. "Her versatility allows her to excel in multiple positions, and her determination to do whatever it takes to win sets her apart."
