Box Score BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's volleyball fell to Cal State Bakersfield in four sets (25-23, 11-25, 10-25, 15-25) on Saturday evening. This marked the second time the two teams went to four sets this season. 

Bianca Martinez came alive halfway through the first set, leading the Titans with five kills on six total attacks, while Laura Williams collected four kills, an assisted block and two digs in the closely battled set. The Roadrunners found some momentum late in the set to bring Fullerton's 24-20 edge to a narrow 24-23 lead. Ameena Campbell secured a set win, 25-23, with her first kill of the match.

Cal State Bakersfield tied the Titans at 5-5 before taking an 8-5 lead over Fullerton. The 'Runners went on a 10-0 scoring run to extend their lead over to 20-8, forcing a Fullerton timeout. Aubrey Beaver broke double digits for the Titans with a kill before CSUB went on to win the second set, 25-11. 

Beaver put the 10th Titan point on the board in the third set, cutting Cal State Bakersfield's lead to 20-10. As a team, the Titans collected 10 kills on 32 attempts, committing seven attacking errors. The Titans fell to a 2-1 match deficit, as the 'Runners won the set, 25-10. 

The Titans posted a team hitting percentage of .172 in the fourth set, allowing four attacking errors and three service errors to keep them behind Bakersfield. The 'Runners went on to defeat the Titans 25-15. 

The Titans return to action in Titan Gym on Friday, Nov. 8 against cross-town rival Long Beach State at 6:00 p.m., before hosting UC San Diego on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 4:00 p.m.
