BOULDER, Colo. – Cal State Fullerton men's basketball struggled to keep up with Colorado's offense in the second half, falling 83-53 at the CU Events Center Wednesday night. With the loss the Titans drop to 0-3 on the year.Â
The Titans kept the game close in the first half thanks to strong offensive showing from Donovan Oday and Keith Richard. The two guards combined for 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor.Â
Oday got the scoring started with five early points in the first five minutes of action before finishing the half with nine points on 3-of-5 shooting including 1-of-1 from three-point range. Richard turned it on late in the half, scoring six of his eight points in the final six minutes.Â
Colorado slowly pulled away in the second half as the Titans went cold from the floor. Fullerton shot just 7-of-33 (21 percent) in the second half while Colorado shot 16-of-26 for 61.5 percent shooting.Â
Oday finished the game with a team-high 13 points and a career-high seven rebounds. Freshman Davis Bynum scored a career-high eight points, all of which came in the second half.Â
Fullerton finishes its four-game road trip Friday at Oregon State. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PT.
