LONG BEACH, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's volleyball fell in straight sets to Long Beach State (15-24, 21-25, 18-25), earning their eighth conference loss on Saturday night. The Titans stand 4-14 on the season and 0-8 in Big West play. 

Down 0-6, the Titans found consecutive points on a service error and kill by Laura Williams after calling for timeout. Williams (2), Lolo Fonua (2), Lyla Traylor (1), Ketesia Hall (1), and Bianca Martinez (1) combined for all seven Titan kills during the first set. Five attacking errors, three service errors and five receiving errors cost the Titans the first set, 15-25. 

The Titans opened the second set with a kill by Ameena Campbell, earning their first lead of the match. Fonua put one away to grab a 10-9 lead over The Beach before falling behind for the remainder of the set. The Titans found 11 kills in the second set before falling to a 0-2 match deficit on a 21-25 second set loss. 

Anna Schatz came off the bench in the third set, giving the Titans a 6-5 lead on back-to-back service aces. A service error by Schatz quickly tied the game before Long Beach State retook the lead on an ace of their own. The Titans kept pace with The Beach, bringing the game within four points (15-19) on a block by Traylor and Martinez. Fullerton fell victim to their sixth sweep of the season, dropping the third set 18-25. 

The Titans return to Titan gym for a pink-week match against UC Riverside on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
