Men's Soccer Defeats UC Davis at Titan Stadium

The Titans improve to 8-2-2 on the year and 2-0 in conference play

FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's soccer defeated UC Davis, 1-0, Saturday night at Titan Stadium. With the win the Titans improve to 8-2-2 on the year and 2-0 in Big West play.

After defeating UC Davis, the Titans extended their winning streak to six games and unbeaten streak to nine games. It is the longest unbeaten streak since 2019 when the Titans started the season 8-0-1.

The Titans started the game on the defensive as UC Davis controlled the pace through the first 10 minutes. Fullerton quickly gained its composure and went on the attack.

Fullerton scored the only goal of the game in the 24th minute on a penalty kick by Roberto Ordonez. The junior now has nine goals and seven assists on the season for 25 points, all of which lead The Big West. His nine goals and 25 points leads the nation while his seven assists ranks tied for third in the country.

The Titans were out-shot by UC Davis, 18-7, but only allowed four shots on goal. Tetsuya Kadono stopped all four shots the Aggies put on goal.

Fullerton hits the road next week to take UC San Diego Thursday night before heading to Cal State Bakersfield Saturday night.
