Titans Give Up Late Goal In Draw With CSUN

FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's soccer team were the victims of a late goal on Sunday as they drew 1-1 with CSUN.

The Titans were on their way to their first win of the conference season until a goal by CSUN's Izabel Reyes in the 84th minute upended the game.

The Titans (2-4-6, 0-1-2) had another dominant display in the first half where they outshot the Matadors 15-to-6 and had 6 corner kicks.

The Titans scored in the 23rd minute after Jaden Hall had a backheel goal off a corner kick.

In the second half, the Titans put their foot off the gas pedal and it was a much more even game.  CSUN outshot the Titans 5-to-4 and held much of the possession.

Finally in the 84th minute the Matadors caught the Titans defenders split in their positioning and Jackie Victoria headed the ball to an open Izabel Reyes who slotted it past Mia Ranson for the equalizer.

The Titans will now head north to the central coast where they will take on Cal Poly on Thursday and UC Santa Barbara on Sunday.
