DAVIS, Calif. — Cal State Fullerton women's volleyball pushed UC Davis to five sets but fell 3-2 (23-25, 25-18, 19-25, 25-16, 9-15) on the road Saturday afternoon. The result moves the Titans to 1-22 on the season and 0-14 in Big West play. 

Ameena Campbell paced Fullerton offensively with 14 kills on a .222 clip to go with 15 digs, while Lyla Traylor added 12 kills and 11 digs. Aubrey Beaver also tallied double-figures in kills with 11 on a .259 clip. 

After falling behind in the first set, the Titans used a 6-0 run capped by a Beaver ace to go up 15-14. A Traylor kill held off an Aggie set point opportunity late, but UC Davis took set one, 25-23. 

Fullerton knotted off four straight in the second to go up 13-11 and force a UC Davis timeout. The Titans extended their lead to six, 19-13, following a Laura Williams service ace. A Bianca Martinez kill sealed the 25-18 set-two win for Fullerton. 

A kill by Martinez gave Fullerton a 12-11 lead in the third. Williams notched a kill of her own to later put the Titans up 17-16. But the Aggies got hot late, going on to take the set, 25-19. 

The Titans scored five straight in the fourth, taking a 12-8 advantage. Fullerton later used a 6-0 run to go up 18-11 following a Campbell kill from a Nadia Koanui assist. Campbell later tallied a kill and an ace and a pair of Aggie attack errors gave the Titans the 25-16 set four win. 

In set five, UC Davis jumped to a 5-1 early lead. A Traylor ace later brought Fullerton within three, 9-6. But the Aggies went on to take the set, 15-9, and the match, 3-2. 

Up next, the Titans travel to take on UC Irvine next Thursday, Nov. 9, at 6:00 p.m. PT.
