Ordonez Makes History with Third Consecutive Big West Player of the Week Honor

Roberto Ordonez is the first Titan in program history to earn three straight conference player of the week honors

IRVINE, Calif. – For the third week in a row, Roberto Ordonez has been named Big West Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon. 

Ordonez is the first Titan in the history of the program to earn three consecutive player of the week honors. He is also the first player to garner Big West Player of the Week honors three consecutive weeks since 2015. 

Ordonez scored four goals and recorded two assists, leading the Titans to wins over CSUN and UC Davis last week. The junior recorded a hat trick in the Titans 5-4 win over CSUN Wednesday while also assisting on two goals. He then scored the only goal of the match in the Titans 1-0 win over UC Davis Saturday night. 

The Texas native leads the Big West with nine goals, seven assists and 25 points. His 25 points leads the country while his nine goals ranks tied for second and his seven assists ranks tied for fourth. 

Fullerton leads the Big West with a 2-0 record in conference play and 8-2-2 overall record. The Titans are back in action this week at UC San Diego Wednesday night before heading to Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday.
