Entering the 2026 season, Kellan Wilson is in his ninth year as an assistant coach for the Titans.
In the 2025, season, the Titans finished the season with a 14-3-3 overall record. The Titans had their best start in program history after starting the season with a 10-0-2 record. The Titans picked up their first win at Portland in program history in a 1-0 win over the Pilots. They also scored a win at Pitt in a 1-0 win for their second ever win over an ACC opponent and first since 2003. The Titans were ranked as high as No. 21 in the Top Drawer Soccer rankings after their strong start to the season and ranked in the Top 25 for the first time since 2015. The Titans earned 10 honors as Isaac Ranson was named the Goalkeeper of the Year as well to the Big West First Team. Isabella Cruz was named to the first time for the third straight and became the fifth Titan in program history to earn that award three times. Camryn Cruz was named to the All-Big West First Team. Taya Townsell was named to the All-Big West Second Team. Skye Johnson, Jenae Perez, and Isabella Contreras were named to All-Big West Honorable Mentions. Kayalily Penn and Sienna Pimentel were both named to the All-Freshman team. Isaac Ranson and Camryn Cruz were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Third Team. The Titans finished third overall in the Big West regular season standings and ended a 4-game losing streak in the Big West Tournament after beating Cal State Bakersfield 1-0 in the first round. However, the Titans fell to eventual tournament champions Cal Poly 1-0 in the semifinals. The Titans defense was among the best in the country for the season. They conceded the fewest goals nationally (8) for the season and had the best goals allowed average (.400) in the country). The Titans led the nation with 14 shutouts after the regular season and had the best shutout percentage in the country at .700. As the goalkeeper coach, Isaac Ranson set multiple new program records under his guidance. Ranson had 13 shutouts and wins for the season. Ranson had a 0.41 goals allowed averag and was second in the country with 13 shutouts. Ranson was fourth in the country with a .892 save percentage and had the third best goals against average at .410. Helped Isaac Ranson set the new Titans goalkeeping records in career saves (347), individual shutouts (31), and minutes played (6,934). Coached Isaac Ranson to his second Big West Goalkeeper of the year award and the fourth goalkeeper in Big WEst history to earn the Goalkeeper of the Year award twice.
In the 2024 season, the Titans went 6-9-4 overall with a 4-3-3 record in conference play. The Titans were the No .6 seed in the Big Championship where they lost to the No. 3 seeded UC Santa Barbara Gauchos 2-1 in the first round. Wilson helped coach Kaylee Noble and Isabella to All-Big West First team appearances, Taya Townsell and Kaylin Raibon to the All-Big West second team, and Isabella Contreras to the All-Big West freshman team. As the head goalkeepers coach, he helped Isaac Ranson to an All-Big West Honorable mention. Isabella Cruz and Kaylee Noble were also named to the United Soccer Coaches All West Region Third Team.
In the 2023 season, the Titans went 8-5-7 overall with a 6-1-3 record in conference play. The Titans were the No. 1 seed in the Big West Championship tournament after clinching the Big West Regular season Conference Title but they fell to No. 5 UC Irvine 1-0 in the Big West Championship Semifinals. He helped coach Kaylee Noble to being named the Big West Freshman of the Year as well as making the all-freshman team. He helped coach Isaac Ranson to being named the Big West Goalkeeper of the Year, the sixth in program history and the third under his tutelage behind Jennifer Stuart (2015) and Lindsey Maricic (2013). Isabella Cruz, Kaylin Raibon, Makenna McGill were also named to the All-Big West First Team.
During the 2022 season, Coach Wilson helped guide RS-Freshman goalkeeper Isaac Ranson to the All-Big West Second Team and All-Freshman team.
Wilson spent four seasons (2012-15) as a volunteer assistant with the Cal State Fullerton women's program working primarily with the Titan goalkeepers.
Wilson was part of a historic four-year (2012-15) stretch of Cal State Fullerton women's soccer. During his time with the Titans, Fullerton won three Big West Conference regular season championships (2012, 2014, 2015), three Big West Tournament titles (2013, 2014, 2015) and made three NCAA Tournament appearances (2013, 2014, 2015), totaling a 44-27-12 (.602) overall record and a 22-7-4 (.727) mark in the Big West Conference.
Wilson tutored Big West Conference Goalkeepers of the Year Lindsey Maricic (2013) and Jennifer Stuart as well as Big West Tournament MVP Katie Pulliam (2013).
He served on the US Soccer National Training Staff in 2016 and 2017. He was responsible for training the goalkeepers, recruiting, campus visits and building alumni relations.
Wilson also spent the past two seasons, (2016-18) as an assistant coach for the Saint Mary's soccer program.
Wilson also spent three years playing collegiate soccer at Saint Mary's from 1999-2001. Wilson's playing career also included professional stints overseas in Germany with VFL Osnabruck (2005-08). From 2010-11, he played in Finland with Helsinki IFK helping the latter to the championship of the Finnish 2nd Division. He came back to the states to play with the San Francisco Seals in the USL's Premier Development League in 2008-09 where he stepped away from his spot in net to lead the team in goals.
