Biography

PRIOR TO CAL STATE FULLERTON
She played two years at Stanislaus State.  She played in 39 games and made 24 starts for the Warriors.  She scored 302 career points and averaged 7.7 points over two years.  She also recorded 182 rebounds.  During her sophomore year, she was averaging 16.7 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game before going down with a season ending injury.

HIGH SCHOOL
She graduated from Central High School in Fresno, Calif. in 2023. She played four years of varsity basketball for the Grizzly Bears.  She was team captain her junior and senior year, she was Co-Conference MVP of the Trac League her junior year, and set a CIF rebounds record.    She led the Grizzlies to being the CIF D2 State Champions. She was the Central Section MVP in 2022-23 and the Division 2 State Player of the Year.  She broke a CIF record with 24 rebounds in the State Championship game.  She averaged 30 points and 14 rebounds during the 22-23 CIF State PLayoffs. She is Central HS's all-time leader in Points, Rebounds, and Blocks.  She recorded 20 double-doubles as a senior.She played for club basketball for Cencal Takeover under coaches Chris Maxey and Paul Kariuki. Coming out of high school she was ranked Top 108 in the Nation, Top 15 in California, Top 3 in Central Valley for 3 Stats, and Top 2 in the CIF Central Section.

PERSONAL
She was born in Fresno, Calif. to Deandre Maxwell and Tenaya Yarbrough.  She has four siblings, D'Mir, Tiana, Isaiah, and DJ. She is majoring in Business Management. An interesting fact about her career is she was diagnosed with a heart murmur in middle school and had to stop playing sports for a month before they finished testing and found out it wasn't harmful or life threatening.  In her free time, she likes to play Fortnite, watch Tiktoks, and listen to music.  Her dad Deandre Maxwell played college football at San Diego State and also for the Washington Redskins (96-97). Her game day superstition is to stretch, shoot 10 free throws, and to pray.  She models her game after Russell Westbrook.  Her favorites include Tacos and Burritos (Food), Russell Westbrook (Athlete), Horror/Thriller Genre (Movies), Caleb Gordan (Musical Artists), The Bible (Book), Zendaya (Actress), Applebees (Restaurant)
