Former Louisville Cardinal standout guard Becky Burke wasbrought in as the new Director of Basketball Operations for the CalState Fullerton women's basketball program on August 7, 2013.

 

"Anytime you have a chance to add someone with Final Fourexperience to your program it's a good thing," said Head CoachDaron Park. "When you combine that experience with amazing workethic, personal skills, and outstanding energy it's just a nobrainer. Becky compliments this staff perfectly. She was anoutstanding player at Louisville and will no doubt have a positiveimpact here at Cal State Fullerton."

 

Burke joins the Titans' support staff after spending fourseasons with Cardinals as a player. While at Louisville she was apart of three NCAA Tournament teams, including helping to lead theCardinals to the NCAA championship game during the 2009 season, andagain to the Sweet 16 during the 2010 campaign.

 

Burke led the Cardinals in scoring in both her sophomore andsenior seasons, putting up 13.8 and 11.9 points per gamerespectively. During her senior year, (2011-12) Burke led the teamin three-point field goals made (81) and three-point field goalpercentage (38 percent). She also scored a career-high 28 pointsvs. Syracuse, while tying the school record for three-pointers madein a game with eight in that contest.

 

Burke ended her Louisville career as a member of the school's1,000 point club and became just the second Cardinal ever toparticipate in the State Farm College Three-Point Championship hersenior year, as she placed second.

 

Before coming to Cal State Fullerton Burke spent a year workingfor Homefit Personal Training in Louisville, Ky.

 

The Clarks Summit, Pa. native earned her undergraduate degree insports administration from the University of Louisville and iscurrently pursuing a graduate degree in kinesiology at Cal StateFullerton.
