Mike Bueter joined the Cal State Fullerton men's basketball program prior to the 2022-23 season, when he was hired as director of basketball operations.

Bueter was part of a 2022-23 Titans program that went 20-13 overall and 12-6 in Big West action and made its second consecutive Big West Tournament Championship Game appearance.
