Jayson Wells

Jayson Wells was hired as an assistant coach in July 2024. He had been involved with the Titan program over the previous several seasons as a skills development and mental performance coach. He is the founder of Jayson's Playground and the Shoes Have Souls Podcast and has been involved in motivational speaking and skills development since his retirement from professional basketball in 2010. 

Wells spent 13 seasons playing basketball overseas after graduating from Indiana State University in 1998. He won championships in Finland, Ukraine and Israel and was selected to All-Pro teams in Sweden, Australia and Israel. He finished the 2003-04 season as the top rebounder in the Israeli Basketball Premier League. 

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Wells prepped at Cleveland Central Catholic High School where he led his team to consecutive North Coast League titles. While at Indiana State, Wells led the team in scoring and rebounding his senior season and was named an All-Missouri Valley first team member.
