SOPHOMORE (2017)
Made just 9 appearances (7 of which are starts) after missing two months with elbow tendonitis... he left his Feb. 25 start at UNLV after just 2.0 innings and didn’t return until May 14 on a limited pitch count… he is 2-0 with a 2.14 ERA with one save… He struck out 37 and walked 16… has allowed just four earned runs, but none over his last 18.1 innings of work (3 starts)… he struck out five over two innings his first appearance to log his only save of the year… was masterful in the postseason allowing just 3 hits in 13.2 innings to earn wins in both clinching games in the Regional (vs. Stanford on June 3) and Super Regional (vs. Long Beach State on June 11)… was named to the Golden Spikes preseason watch list… appeared in one game in the College World Series.
FRESHMAN (2016)
Tied Noe Ramirez's Cal State Fullerton freshman record with 100 strikeouts in a single season, which also led the team... Posted an 8-3 record with a 2.24 ERA in 16 appearances and 15 starts... Held opponents to a .218 batting average... Went undefeated in conference play, going 4-0 with a 2.28 ERA as he allowed 12 earned runs in 47 and 1/3 innings, tallying 48 strikeouts compared to 11 walks... In his only appearance out of the bullpen, went five innings and struck out a career-high 10 batters against UNLV (04/24)... Went a career-high eight and 1/3 innings in the season finale against Long Beach State to help the Titans clinch the Big West Conference title with a 2-1 victory (05/28).
