Riverside, Calif. – The Fullerton Titans closed out the 2026 Lancer Joust with a 2-0 sweep over Fresno Pacific and Toronto.
Carmelo Bangs and
Jason Joseph led in the morning game with a hat trick each.
Beau Gendron kept the momentum going with a program record of eight goals scored against Toronto.
Titans 14, Fresno Pacific 11
Fullerton faced Fresno Pacific on Saturday morning for the third time this season and came out on top with a final score of 14-11. The Sunbirds scored first before the Titans quickly took a lead that they would hold onto throughout the contest.

Francisco Paredes and Bangs scored three straight, sending the Titans into the second quarter with a 3-1 lead.
The Titans outscored the Sunbirds 5-2 in the second thanks to Bangs, Joseph, and
Ethan MacLeod. Bangs and Joseph each scored two in the second, contributing to the pair of hat tricks for the Titans. CSF led 8-3 going into halftime.
Fullerton and FPU each tallied four goals in the third quarter, holding onto their steady lead. Paredes, MacLeod, Joseph and
Samuel Branco recorded the four for the Titans. Joseph's third period goal completed his hat trick versus the Sunbirds.
The Sunbirds scored two in the fourth to try and chip away at Fullerton's lead before
Kai Kubo scored to keep the Titans out of reach and seal the 14-11 victory.
Bangs and Joseph each nabbed a hat trick on Saturday morning, the fourth of the season for Bangs and fifth for Joseph.
Denes Dobi led the team with a season high of four assists against FPU.
Titans 18, Toronto 9
The Fullerton Titans went out with a bang on day two of the Lancer Joust, posting 18 goals to Toronto's nine. Gendron highlighted the game with a program-high eight goals scored in a single game.
The Titans started off hot, logging seven goals in the first quarter while Toronto only scored one.
Tony Benedetti led the team with two in the first. Toronto almost matched Fullerton's pace in the second period, but the Titans still outscored the Varsity Blues 3-2. CSF held on to a 10-3 lead going into halftime.
In the third, the Titans and Varsity Blue each posted three. Gendron tallied two of the three to complete his hat trick. Gendron was certainly not done yet as he went on to tally five more goals to close out the game.
Gendron's eight goals is a new program record for most goals scored in a single game.
Dustin Drobeck and
Ethan Merritt nabbed three assists each, leading the team. Hammerstrom got his second start of the day, recording eight saves against Toronto.
The Titans return to Fullerton on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 6:00 p.m. to take on McKendree.
