Cal State Fullerton

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's soccer team opened up the 2026 season with a 0-0 scoreless draw against the University of San Diego at Torero Stadium.

The Titans were the better side for most of the game and they outshot the Toreros 11-to-9 with a 4-to-1 shot on goal advantage.

The Toreros had the first three shots of the game until Ionare Ve'e had the first Titans shot.  The Titans had their best to chance to score in the 40th minute after drawing a penalty.  Sail Bozinovic was fouled by two defenders inside the box and the Titans were able to challenge the call to initiate a VAR review.  After a VAR review, the Titans were given the penalty.  However, Bozinovic saw her shot saved by the USD goalkeeper to keep the game scoreless.

In the second half, the Titans were all over the Toreros side of the field as they had a 8-4 shot advantage.   Sasha Amezcua had a drive hit off the crossbar and another shot saved by the keeper.  Jaidyn Williams had a decent opportunity blocked by a defender dep inside the box and Riley O'Brien had a potential game winner saved late in the 86th minute on a deep shot towards the goalkeepers upper right 90.

In her Titans debut, redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Allison Craycroft keep her first clean sheet and made one save.

The Titans were able to hand debuts to the aforementioned Craycroft, Mia LaRosa, Riley O'Brien, Jaidyn Williams, Caroline Hicks while Ionare Ve'e and Mia Ojeda also made their debuts whilst being in the starting lineup.

The Titans will play an Alumni game day on Saturday at home at 4:00 PM before their next official game as they head to Boulder, Colorado to take on the No. 13 University of Colorado Buffaloes.
