FULLERTON, Calif. – Titans Head Coach, Dedrique Taylor, announced the signing of the newest addition to the 2026-27 roster on Friday. The Titans are looking forward to welcoming 6'1 guard, Drew McConnell, to Cal State Fullerton.
 
"We are excited to add Drew to the Titan family. His experience, his character and his overall talent will help us tremendously in our pursuit of a Big West championship" said Coach Taylor.
 
McConnell joins the Titans as a graduate student after spending his senior season at the University of the Cumberlands. With the Patriots, McConnell nabbed MSC First Team All-Conference and MSC Academic All-Conference while starting in 31 of his 32 appearances. The Georgia native averaged 13.5 points and 4 rebounds per game. McConnell logged double figures in 24 games and tallied 20+ points in seven games during the 2025-26 season with the Patriots.
 
Prior to joining the Patriots, McConnell attended USC Upstate for two years after beginning his collegiate career at James Madison. McConnell appeared in two games during his freshman season at JMU.
 
McConnell graduated from Lanier High School in Sugar Hill, Georgia, in 2021 where he was a McDonald's All-American Nominee, Georgia Classic MVP, two-time First Team All-State and seven-time Player of the Month. The junior and senior year team captain holds the second most three-pointers made in a season in Georgia. Coming out of high school, McConnell was ranked #136 in the nation by ESPN.
