FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team extended their winning streak to nine games after defeating the University of Richmond Spiders 5-2 at home on Sunday at the Titan Courts.

The Titans completed a perfect 3-0 week at home and and improved to 10-2 overall for the season.

The Titans once again dropped the doubles point but came back and rallied in singles play.

Martina Markova got things started on Court 1 as she dropped just one game in a straight set 6-0, 6-1 win over Sofia Barbulescu.  Chloe Schwarz made her return to the singles lineup and dropped just three games in a 6-3, 6-0 on Court 6 over Lainey O'Neil. Emilie Lugon-Moulin also dropped just three games in a 6-2, 6-1 win on Court 2 over Elizabeth Novak. Milena Gevorgyan sealed the match on Court 4 after winning 6-1, 6-4 over Beatriz Guerra. Amelia Zylberman came back to win after dropping the first set and won 1-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-3) in a 10-point tiebreak.  The Titans were trying to sweep in singles but Seha Yu couldn't complete the sweep after falling 6-1, 4-6, 6-7 (5-7) on a tiebreak in the final set.

The Titans will head up to Northern California next weekend as they take on future Big West opponent Sacramento State and departing Big West foe UC Davis for the last conference matchup. The Hornets are currently ranked #59 in the latest ITA poll.
